Launched in 1869, Cutty Sark must rank as one of the most famous ships in history! Built on the river Clyde and designed initially as a tea clipper (later used to transport wool from Australia), Cutty Sark would set many speed records during her long working life and is today preserved in dry-dock at Greenwich, England. To celebrate the 150th anniversary of her launch, Revell have created a special edition Gift Set of this incredible ship. Revell’s detailed model recreates Cutty Sark’s sleek hull, tall masts and many fittings, plus rigging cord, blow-moulded sails, anchor cord, lifeboats and a display stand with nameplate. This Gift Set version also includes; Contacta Professional glue, paintbrush, selected Aqua Color acrylic paints and an A3 reproduction poster of the kit’s boxart. NOTE: This is a plastic model kit that needs to be assembled and painted to complete. Glue, a paintbrush and basic paints are included, although additional colours may be required. This is a Skill Level 5 kit, rated for experienced model builders.
