Blood Bowl: Ogre

Blood Bowl is the original game of fantasy football in which players participate in hyper-violent matches, to win each team must try to score more touchdowns than their opponent. However, most players are more focused on bludgeoning their rivals in any way they can in order to incapacitate, maim or even kill them! After all if a player happens to break their neck, there is one less player standing in the way of victory.

There are Blood Bowl players hailing from all over the old world in Blood Bowl, some of the most fearsome are the Ogres that descend from the Mountains of Mourn. These monstrous humanoid creatures have large, powerful bodies. The average Ogre stands over 10 feet tall, and is almost half as wide at the gut. Constantly eating, the only thing greater than their hunger is their total disregard for personal hygiene.

Facing an Ogre on the pitch is a daunting prospect, a single Ogre is more than a match for multiple opposing players, and their sheer bulk makes a highly effective defensive line. A lot of Human team coaches will take on an Ogre to add a much needed strength bonus to their line-up, as their effectiveness outweighs the cost of feeding them. There are even a few coaches crazy enough to form an Ogre team. These teams are few and far between as overall they are not the most effective of teams, but they will always draw in huge crowds thanks to the guaranteed brutality that will ensue on the pitch.
