The M10 tank destroyer, built on the dependable and widely used M4 Sherman chassis, was deployed in large numbers during World War II. While it was later replaced by newer designs based on the same platform, the M10 remained a key asset until the end of the war, serving with distinction in the US, British, Polish, Free French, and Soviet forces.
Nicknamed "Wolverine" by British troops and simply known as the M10 tank destroyer, or "TD," by American forces, it earned a fearsome reputation on the battlefield. Despite its turret's relatively slow traverse, the M10 was a deadly opponent, as many German panzer commanders discovered.
This kit includes options for both US and British crews, allowing you to build this versatile tank destroyer for either nation. It represents the US Army version of the M10, which can easily be adapted to depict a Free French vehicle by adding French markings. Full-color waterslide decal sheets are provided for both US and British forces.
