The Sd.Kfz 250/1 was a versatile reconnaissance and transport half-track primarily used by scout and headquarters units. This vehicle was a more compact version of the widely known Sd.Kfz 251 Hanomag series. Like its larger counterpart, the Sd.Kfz 250/1 was produced in various configurations to fulfill specialized roles, including cable-laying, ammunition transport, and radio communication. It accommodated six crew members, including the driver and co-driver, and was armed with two pintle-mounted MG34 machine guns—one shielded and forward-facing, and the other covering the rear and airspace.

This model represents the original 'Alt' (old) version, which saw action throughout World War II with German forces across all theaters of the war, as well as with their Romanian allies.

The kit contains parts to build one of the following variants:

    Sd.Kfz 250/1: The standard armored half-track configuration.
Sd.Kfz 250/3: A command variant equipped with a distinctive radio aerial frame, famously used by Rommel as his personal command vehicle, Greif (Griffon).
    Sd.Kfz 250/10: A platoon commander’s half-track featuring a 3.7cm PaK 35/36 anti-tank gun in place of the forward machine gun.

Also included are crew figures with interchangeable heads, allowing for regular or winter uniforms, as well as a figure of Feldmarschall Erwin Rommel himself!
